Last of the Denver interviews
In this last batch of video interviews from Denver ACE2009 Scott Tinker, AAPG past president, talks about various issues related to petroleum geology and the oil and gas industry. He discusses what he calls the four Es: Energy, Environment, Economy and Education as well as “green” economy and renewable energy; comments on Al Gore’s documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” film; and talks about overcoming misconceptions people have about the oil and gas industry. Tinker and Don Clarke also talk about the importance of educating the public.
The videos are available on AAPG’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
If you’re like me, you’ve not only enjoyed all the videos from Denver, but also have learned a great deal about AAPG, the industry and the people who make petroleum geology so exciting.
And now it’s time to look ahead.
What other questions and issues would you like addressed during AAPG’s upcoming New Orleans ACE2010? What other AAPG members should we try to interview? Send us your feedback:
