1.  2012-2013 William L. Fisher Congressional Geoscience Fellowship
The American Geosciences Institute is accepting applications for the 2012-2013 William L. Fisher Congressional Geoscience Fellowship. The successful candidate will spend 12 months (starting September 2012) in Washington, DC, working as a staff member in the office of a member of Congress or a congressional committee. The fellowship represents a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience with the federal legislative process and make practical contributions to the effective and timely use of geoscientific knowledge on issues relating to the environment, resources, natural hazards, and federal science policy.

AAPG Student Chapters Eligible for Free Licenses for Interactive Learning Modules / Courses

AAPG Education is now able to offer scholarships to five U.S.-based AAPG Student Chapters and five global AAPG Student Chapters (10 students per chapter) for year-long licenses for three full-length courses that cover upstream and downstream operations through a partnership with AAPG and the OPEN Initiative.  The scholarships are being funded by a donation by the SGS Group and Techno-Media.
